Who Was …?

Who Was … is a biographical project by our third grade students based on their reading and research of the ‘Who Was?’ book series that tell stories of trailblazers, legends, innovators and creators. As part of this project, the students transformed the school gymnasium into a wax museum to display and share information about influential people.

Each biographical display was created by the students based on their reading and research. When visiting a display, the museum visitors pressed the button to learn more about the famous person at the museum.

This activity demonstrates so many aspects of the third grade curriculum, which include: reading, internet use/research, writing, presentation, timelines and public speaking!

The museum visitors were very impressed by the third grade wax museum. Additional photos from the Wax Museum are available on our school Facebook page.
