We Give Thanks for Light Prayer Rosary

Prayer is part of our school day at Our Lady of Lourdes.

We are grateful for Ms. Nowak who created this wooden Rosary board for Our Lady of Lourdes. Ms. Nowak spent time with us and Mrs. Sharon Johnson doing observation hours to become a paraprofessional and to earn her substitute teaching license from NWTC.

This rosary was a thank you gift to the school. This “light prayer rosary” is beautiful for praying the rosary, especially the Luminous Mysteries which are events in Jesus’ public life that highlight his light and grace.

The Luminous Mysteries:

1. Baptism of Jesus

2. Wedding at Cana

3. Proclamation of the Kingdom of God

4. Transfiguration

5. Institution of the Eucharist

We offer our prayers of thanks to Ms. Nowak for this beautiful gift.

Blessing of Gaga Pit

We gathered with Fr. James Baraniak O. Praem., Terry and Carey Fink and the friends and family of Our Lady of Lourdes School to offer a blessing and dedication of the newly constructed Seth Memorial Gaga Pit.

Seth, a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes School and a member of our parish passed away in fall due to a motorcycle accident. His love of life, the outdoors and his favorite classes PhyEd (and recess) became the inspiration of the construction of the Gaga Pit for all students to use.

We offer our thanks to everyone who donated to this project and for Phoenix Perry who constructed the Gaga Pit as his Eagle Scout Project. The construction of the Gaga Pit was completed this past weekend. A memorial bench with dedication signage will be coming in the near future.

In the meantime, the students and future generations will enjoy the opportunity to play and learn with the same enthusiasm Seth would have shown.

Much ❤ to everyone involved with this project.

Thank you to Shana from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for capturing a video of the blessing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjDDgeE2pz0
