School Closed August 13 & 14

We hope you are enjoying your summer!

The progress continues at Our Lady of Lourdes School. While some of the work is visible (new windows) there is more being done behind the scenes.

As part of the air-conditioning install, additional power is required for the school building. This has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14.

This project requires all electricity to the school to be turned off, which will impact technology, internet, telephone, etc. As a result, the school will be closed Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14.

We appreciate your patience during this time as we continue to strive to create the best learning environment for your children.

Band Students Unite

Our middle school band students and their teachers from Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) schools gathered at St. Norbert College for a day of making music together.

This educational and enjoyable day-long event included rehearsals and culminated with a beautiful concert for parents and guests.

What an great way for our 7th & 8th grade band students Jacob, Teddy, Ethan, Marley, Andrea, Allie and Amber to share their musical talents with other students at St. Norbert College. Thank you to Mrs. Lewis and everyone involved in providing this musical opportunity!

Back at school, the third graders and their families are invited to ‘Try an Instrument’ with Mrs. Lewis. Explore the various instruments to determine what you might like to play with the 4th grade band in the 2025-2026 school year. In addition, Mrs. Lewis is offering summer music lessons to help maintain your skills on your instrument.

Spring Brings Science to Life

Spring has arrived and some early Spring flowers are in bloom (crocus, daffodils and tulips). 🌷

Students are learning how do the flowers grow, which is photosynthesis – a plant making its own food.

How do you learn about photosynthesis? One of the options is to create a model. A science model helps our student scientists understand a concept, object, process, or system. The 5th graders learned about the plants’ needs and what the plants produce during the photosynthesis process. They showed their creativity while they learned in Science class.
