Oh, the places and the things that you learn in third grade!
The students in Ms. Anderson's class have been learning many new things.
- They studied traditional fairy tales. They selected a fairy tale, made changes to make their own version of the fairy tale, a fractured fairy tale. Then, they published their work, illustrated pictures, and did a read aloud to the class.
- In math, they learned various activities to strengthen their fraction skills. They learned about what fractions are and how to compare their sizes. They use their manipulatives (fraction tiles) to help them see the fractions visually during their comparisons.
- When the warm Spring weather arrives, you take advantage of it in Wisconsin and move the lesson to the outside classroom. Another opportunity to write and read aloud to one another.
