Acids and bases are a fundamental concept of Chemistry. The sixth graders have been studying the properties of acids and bases.
Did you know that cleaning supplies are bases? Some common acids include lemons, soda, coffee and even milk has a little acid. Did you know that there is acid in our stomach that helps us digest food? The students tested a variety of substances with pH paper to identify which were acids and bases.
This is just the beginning of what they will learn in their Science Chemistry lessons.
