The third graders in Ms. Anderson's room have been working on forces, motion and magnets in their Science unit.
They built bridges out of paper and tested how much weight they could hold. When the bridges failed, they made changes to the bridges to support more weight. They also searched for objects in the classroom that were magnetic, discovered how magnets are used in the real world, and discovered magnetic poles (floating magnets on pencils).
Hands-on learning is so much fun!
