Wow, we are mid-way through summer. Where does the time go?
The preparations continue during these summer days to prepare for the return of the students.
These are a just a few of the things happening on campus these summer days in July.
- New furniture is being ordered for the classrooms (this was made possible due to the Light Up Lourdes event)
- Classroom supplies are being ordered. Teachers provided their supply lists to the school office before their departure for the summer. So much to do, so little time! Thank you Sue for all your efforts to order, inventory and arrange for distribution to the classrooms and submit the invoices for payment! 😇
- Some of the furniture and classroom items need to be assembled. Thank you to the summer crew and our volunteer Liam!
- All the student devices and classroom TVs/Interactive boards are prepared for the students. Devices are moved to the appropriate classrooms and devices are provided for the new students. Thank you to the Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) Tech Services team for their work to complete this at all the GRACE schools during the summer.
- While the school is being prepared for Back to School, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church also sponsors a week-long Vacation Bible Camp. This event started today and it requires many volunteers with Mrs. LaCrosse for this event to be successful. It was great to see OLOL graduates and middle school students volunteering. 👏 🙏❤
- Last, but not least ... the teachers are back in the building (just for a couple of days)! This week, the teachers are participating in a training for a new socio-emotional learning program, Leader in Me, that will be implemented at the start of the school year.
